Transmission Characteristics of Terahertz Imaging Detection in Smoke Environments

Abstract The terahertz imaging detection technology is applied to low-visibility fire environments improve the traditional equipment affected by changes in morphology and particle size distribution of smoke particles. This study focus on transmission characteristics waves environments. A model for propagation obtained. Terahertz used experimentally investigate flue gas environment generated three standard fires combined with numerical simulations analyze influence wave under different results show that a factors such as concentration; however, significantly better than obtained methods. In experiments, can achieve good results, transmittance maintained above 88%.
